Description

The slender deer with long antlers has been crafted from sea shells. The two little birds at the base are also composed of shells.

The artist must be skilled in freehand drawing to paint the expressions and facial features. Also, he must have aesthetic sensibility to choose right shells and colours to create as natural a look as possible.

This piece is notable for being natural and graceful. The deer's neck is put together by a spiraling arrangement of shells which make it elegant. The head with ears folded back and pointed antlers give it grace. The base of the light pink shell with the two little birds on either side, add greatly to the charm of this piece.
